Utterly impossible to find even the simplest of information on the websites. I've tried finding information on our property using every known option but no records were found. I also tried finding out the status of a pool permit using every detail known...still no record found. Come on guys, it's not that difficult.

I submitted a zoning verification request on a Friday at 4:50. They had it in the mail on Monday, and when I called for a status update while it was in the mail they emailed it to me in 5 minutes. Everything people say about how wonderful they are to work with is true.

no idea what everyone else is complaining about, they must have other issues that require professional help - for me, I have great relationship with the staff, they explain clearly what I need to do and I get it done, no problems - they even help with how to achieve results, appreciate it greatly, thanks to staff at MCBD

The web site is not the most user friendly. It is hard to correct mistakes.

Try the property appraiser's website
I found them to be very professional and willing to work with me so long as I can demonstrate complying with requirements. I don't think we should be asking for more than that for more than that. If you are new to the system and don't understand anything set up time with a plan reviewer. They are extremely helpful. Don't do any work is do any work that you have a question about before you talk to them This just makes everything harder to fix.
Request a title survey for your address from Martin County and a copy will be sent to you if one is on file. I've gotten one this way for a business.
You'll want to check with the county tax collector, not the building department. Martintaxcollector.com
Yes it will
what is the answer ?????
Who's name is on the contract? If his name is on the contract and another entity is pulling your permit. The are committing a crime. And you should contact the authorities . That is a sign of an issue with the guy doing the work not being able or willing to be legal. Unlicensed Contracting is a felony in the state of Florida.
Call the building department, and let them know. The people in the office can explain what is needed for a permit.
Contact the building department to see if your hoa has obtained a building permit. If no permit has been submitted then make a complaint through code enforcement.
yes
You can call the office. They can tell you what inspector is coming out in the phone number to contact them. Then call the inspector and get an ETA
Your landlord should be able to help. If you know who THEIR landlord is, contact them. They are disturbing the peace and if they don't stop, the landlord can kick them out. The police or sherrif's department can be called, but you have to live next to these people. If they are armed, or crazy (haha) I wouldn't call the cops. Good luck!
