I love this park. Best beach for little kids. Water is shallow all the way out to the break wall of rocks.

20220321 Interesting. It has been 2 years since I stopped here. The water line has receded a bit. I can actually walked on the sand where it used to be covered with water. 2020 This park is small, and has a nice trail about 1.5 miles total round trip from the parking lot. It also has a small beach and this park offers 3 different water views. It is very clean, with a couple of picnic tables. There is no trash cans, and you need to take your trash with you. There is a trash can in the parking lot next to the Chesapeake Heritage Center. I didn't go in the center but it looks like there might be a lot to see in there. If you are in the area or driving by, I recommend stopping by.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs and enjoy Mother Nature while taking a long trip down to Virginia Beach.

It is not a crowded place. There is usually plenty of parking at the Chesapeake heritage visitor center.

I'm not sure, but if you can it wouldn't be very good as it usually only knee deep at least 50 yards out.
