John is very informative. You can call anytime and he will help with your issues or questions. We've gone to bigger nurseries, but always come back to the arboretum bc John helps us get whatever we are looking for.

The owner is very disrespectful and has very little patience for customers that have little knowledge of trees

Always very helpful either on phone or in person. Good selection of roses and perennials.

I have been looking for bamboo all over the place and nobody seems to carry it. Not only does John carry it, he has several varieties. He actually spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me over three different conversations, helping me to learn the difference between them. He gave me information that I could look up on my own, but I had so much confidence in him after speaking with him, I went ahead with his recommendation. I could not be happier! Nick was also quite helpful, and between the two of them they made my experience there so pleasant! They have a great variety of herbs, potted plants, outdoor landscape plants, and garden statuary. Great location right on Highway 40 too. I’m looking forward to my next visit there!

I am on a Florida Native website by the name of FANN. It might be easier to see the plants I am listed for on their website. I am even able to obtain more than is on their website when I start my south Florida buying trips in late February. When I return from vacation on the 31st of Jan and you call me at the nursery I can give you an even better idea of what is presently in stock. 386.673.7800. Thanks for your interest!!!! Tons of other fruit trees….just no citrus. If you look up Citrus Greening ….that would be the reason for no citrus. Call us for a list of what’s available….386.673.7800. Thanks Anthony!!!!!!
I have 3 gallonI am heading to South Florida this Monday(4/11/2022) and I should be picking up 30-3 gallon plants. They will be $40 each….not sure on their height. I have been on their waiting list for about 6 months for this variety…I’m also picking up some Alphonse Karr 3gallon plants.
We do sell bamboo….right now I just got in some nice 3gallon Fernleaf Bamboo and they run $40 each. I have other varieties as well :))
I do not normally carry that tree because I believe it can freeze this far north. I could try to find one for you in the spring
I would say that roses have moderate salt tolerance. Halfway back to the river and they should be fine. Closer than that to the ocean and they should be on the west side of your house or somehow sheltered….I’m not sure Knockouts have any more tolerance than the rest
I do sell both. I have about 20 3gallon pots of Plumerias that run $45....they are named. I have four different varieties of Avacados in 3 gallon pots that are all good for Central Florida. Those run $39.95. Thanks for asking Jeremiah 👍
Yes I do!!!!!
Yes I have a lot of cattleya and dendrobium seedlings in stock. A few blooming size of each...we are just getting started with orchids and will slowly build or availability.... thanks for asking!!! More info by calling 386.673.7800
The place I purchase my fruit trees from has new rules about stopping in and purchasing their trees. They now only take orders allmost 6 weeks in advance and tell us what day to come in and pick them up....thanks Covid :((. I have ordered a ton of Avacados and they will soon tell me when to get them....they warn me they are selling them very small and immature. The owner says Hass won’t grow in our humid climate but there are others very similar. Florida hass, winter Mexican, and one other I believe. Call the nursery for availability...right now we have a few Lulas and one Day Avacado. 386.673.7800. Thanks for your interest :))
This gentleman ended up calling the nursery and we spoke about the pyracantha. 50 years ago it was a very popular plant but it was very susceptible to spider mites. It was often planted as a barrier to keep people out of an area. Nowadays it is very difficult to find as a wholesale Florida availability book has no mention of it. A company out in California by the name of Monrovia I believe still grows it!!!!! Lots of other plants can be used in its place!!!! Thanks for asking Gary!!!!
I have a few grafted Miami Supreme Gardenias left...perhaps soon I will restock. 3 gal are $20 and 7gal are $45. Soon I will buy in a lot of camellias...sasanquas are special order but I usually carry a lot of japonicas.... if you call the nursery we can narrow down which variety you are looking for. 386.673.7800
I have two varieties that are out there. One is Alphonese Karr and the other is Asian Lemon...if you call the nursery I may be able to give you more info....386.673.7800. Thanks for your interest!!!!:))
At this moment we are not hiring.....but your best chance for a job is to come in and speak with the owner and go over your experience in the horticulture field. Thank you for your interest :))
I currently have 12 3gallon pots of Buddha Belly bamboo and they run $45 apiece....thanks for asking. They are better than 6’ and fairly full pots
I believe my supplier grew a large crop of those earlier this spring....but they go really fast. I have carried them in the past and had terrible luck selling them :((. Last time I bought 20....15 of them went to the compost pile....I’m sorry... I see them now and then at the big box stores....I have tons of other small affordable gifty plants!!!!
I do carry Red Maples and they can be planted at any time of the year....but you would know this because of your recent purchase....lol...thanks again to all of our great customers.....we do offer delivery but we hire out the installation end of our products!!!! We have excellent landscapers that have done well in this area for many years!!! Thanks again!!!
One of the best shade loving/cold hardy plants are Camellias. They bloom anywhere from October thru March depending on the varieties. Sasanquas bloom Oct-Jan and Japonicas bloom Dec-March. Beautiful flowers and nice dark shiny foliage. Many other options if you call or visit the nursery!!!!
I believe that to be our native milkweed and it is hard for me to find any of much size....usually they are 2” tall in a one gallon pot and difficult to keep alive that small for most of my customers.... :((
