Wow, popped in with a buddy playing pebble. Grabbed two seats at the comfortable bar and had some drinks and seafood for lunch. Service was OUTSTANDING, treated like locals. I've been a dishwasher to an owner for over 30 years, I'd go here breakfast lunch and dinner if I lived in town. Yum

I was totally disappointed in this restaurant. We have been here before. We put our name in and was told it would be a thirty minute wait. After waiting over fifty minutes and seeing other people being seated who arrived after us my husband asked when our table would be ready. He was told they had called our name and crossed it off because we did not answer. We were standing right in front of the restaurant so I find this hard to believe. When we were finally seated the service and the food was not at all good. My fish was under cooked. I will not be eating at this restaurant ever again. They should have apologized for crossing our name off the list. Do yourself a favor and skip this place there are so many other good restaurants in the Monterey area.

You can just show up .. but .. call after 5 .. when it is open .. if you just show up you could wait a long time - and there is no where to wait but outside. Unless you're one of the rude ones that waits inside crowding a table that has people eating or waiting to eat.
No and it is not a place for kids
There was no wait for me last Thursday at lunch.. Sadly my food wasn't worth it and it was on my birthday
We were seated without reservation! It was a Sunday afternoon, I was quite surprised it took about 10 minutes or less to be seated if you wanted outside.

Great food but better service. Can be a bit of a wait but worth it. Was in pacific grove for 2 nights recently and ate there both nights. If it ain't broke, dont fix it. Was owned by old fisherman years ago, not sure now. Seems as if a family bought him out but nothing has changed.

The food was excellent once we got it. This is very crowded and popular place to eat so service can sometimes be slow. I don't remember the pricing as being anything out of the ordinary for dinner in Monterey. Maybe 20 bucks a head without drinks or any horderves
Yes unless you are there at 4.45pm when they open as it fills up rapidly
No reservations. You can just go anytime during their working hours. Highly recommended.
