Great facility, great food, caring staff!

The most overpriced facility for the care my Mother has received. It took 2 months to get her a shower. Their specialty is to take her to get 3 meals a day. Charge her if they have to bring the meal to her room in a box. They do NOT check on her every 2 hours. Sometimes the only way she gets help is if the medicine woman or the cleaning lady just happen to enter her room. Their excuse for not helping her with her bathroom duties is "She didn't push the button. My Mom has Major Dementia and what do they expect. I would never recommend anyone paying over $8500 a month at this place. A rip off!! They also were giving her the incorrect dose of her seizure medication. Double! 9 pills instead of 4! My Mom was a Zombie and could have killed her. STAY AWAY from Brighton Gardens!!!

This is a lovely property. The staff is kind and patient. The pricing is very good in comparison to other assisted living properties. Here is an update from a year later. The staff at BG are kind and patient. The caregivers are wonderful. The front desk attendants are also great. My biggest complaint is with the accounting department. Initially I had an automatic withdrawal but they took out 15,000 too much. It took a week to get reimbursed. Since then I have paid by check ( on time) every month. However , every bill I receive has a late fee. I have to call and straighten this out every single month. I also have received three letters saying they turned over my account to a collection agency. This is incredibly frustrating. Every.Single.Month. Other than that I am happy with the care my mom receives and the value ( in comparison with other facilities).

This place was our choice for my dad because we were told it was a place he could live out his days. This didn’t turn out to be the case. The handful of amazing employees couldn’t cover for the general lack of empathy that started from the top and trickled down to others. Parkinson’s is complicated. Ultimately, BG lacked the knowledge & expertise to make good on the original promises. Interact with other families that you see visiting the facility and ask them for direct, candid feedback as you make your choice of where your loved one will live. Ask them about professionalism, expertise, empathy, and the experience your loved one should expect. Or reach out and ask me for more thoughts…
