Amazing food

I was in the area and wanted some fresh oysters. This place hit the spot! Every table received a complimentary basket of hush puppies with a side of butter. Oysters were fresh and affordable (each was about 3 dollars). Charming and friendly waitress service. Abundant parking. Not sure what more you need from an oyster restaurant!

This is a Raleigh staple! The environment is amazing, the oysters beyond amazing, hush puppies yum! Coconut shrimp just get it!

Excellent place to go for birthdays and seafood. The spicy peel and eat shrimp with butter and cocktail sauce are outstanding! We had a big group a while back but our waiter got everything right and was always there for refills!

Best to do so unless you want to eat at the bar
Yes, they do. I've purchased some myself for employees.
Not at this time
They have partitions between seats at the bar and spread out their tables. The employees all wear masks and clean the tables between each party
Dan, they are very wheelchair friendly. They have an overhang to drop off your handicapped guests, as well as a ramp to the main dining room.
Yes, they are. The lounge opens at 430 PM, and the restaurant part opens at 500 PM.
Yes there is dancing! Various bands typically on Saturday nights. Had a great time there.
They only open for dinner
Yes. Our kids eat there all the time and love it.
Most likely depends on the time. However, the bar area, (not the oyster bar part), with high top tables is open seating.
Yes and in at least six different flavors
Hahaha.... that's funny! If you want happy hour, go to Denny's. If you want happy tummy then go to 42nd Street!!
They don't technically open til 5pm so it's more of a dinner spot, but if you just want a lighter meal, you can still find some options
I have been going to 42nd Street for 30yrs. Never had anything but great service.
Website states they are looking for host and oyster shucker
Go for it!
You should contact them directly or visit their website.
I have to agree with James. The servers are very knowledgeable to the menu items.
