We have a raised vegetable bed that is 12 ft. long, 4 ft. wide and 18 inches deep. The bed is filled with ONLY compost. The bed has new okra plants that look healthy. Is this acceptable or do we need to remove the plants and add topsoil?

I have a 20 year old Japanese maple which has started sprouting seedlings in the last few years. Can I transplant these or wait for a certain size? Right now I have about 10 and they are about 2" in height. Thank you.
