I needed nourishment after running my bus route before school starts. The staff was pleasant mostly. I hot my check about half way through my meal though. I think she might have been busy?

We went to for dinner one evening and it was pretty empty. Only a few customers. Staff were friendly once we sat down. At first they seemed annoyed we walked in the door. Food was mediocre at best. For how slow the place was, the floors and some surrounding tables were dirty. I only saw one waitress the whole time we were there. But there was not a constant flow of customers coming in so there was ample time to do some cleaning in between. The fact that it felt dirty didn't help. Food portions have gotten significantly smaller too for the amount your paying. We didn't enjoy it enough to return.

I've eaten at IHOP several times since going gluten free a decade ago. This visit the waitress informed us that they still use flour in the "gluten friendly" pancakes. Which to me is confusing wording on its own. Pet friendly would mean a place for pets, and I definitely don't have a friendly experience with gluten. And of course pancakes use flour but that doesn't mean it has wheat and gluten. I understand that it may not be less than 20ppm but as long as an effort has been made it prepare the item without gluten I'm fine. Would you promote daily sanitation of facilities as germ friendly?! Or a low sodium food as sodium friendly?! I wish IHOP would change their wording to something more accurate. Perhaps reduced gluten, or menu for gluten sensitive individuals. I don't fault the local establishment for the new "gluten friendly" inaccurate description on the corporate menus. Two stars off for ridiculous menu wording, and one star off for so so service. My reduced gluten food was very good. So still two stars for a consistent product.

Waitress was great but they seemed to be short on Waitress so she seemed a little overwhelmed. One of our group did not receive their food until after we paid the bill so we took it to go. The amount of food was ridiculous for the amount you pay. Also didn't get our pancakes and toast until after we were done eating.
