The wedding coordinator for this venue is phenomenal. Her name is Hannah. She has great leadership skills and absolutely the ultimate patience. Her abilities to collaborate her visions and experience with yours is superb. Her team is beyond incredible. Highly recommend this wedding coordinator and venue.

The first red flag, is that I signed a contract with them and paid my $6k deposit in cash, and after everything was finalized, I get a call about them accidentally booking my date on someone else's wedding date. I wasn't able to get out of the contract so they just refunded me $500. It was an okay appeasement, but still a huge mistake that forced me into having to accept a different date. The reason I chose this venue were the palm trees and the garden... after touring several venues, the trees are what got me to commit. During the Houston freeze, these trees were understandably dead. In March I asked my coordinator how the trees were and he answered honestly telling me how they were looking. I checked in again in the spring/summer time and he said "they look like they are starting to grow back" and I believed him because the palm trees at other locations had come back. By august, I came back to the venue to discuss some things and was horrified to see the trees still standing-bald and dreadful looking, looming over the venue. I understand this is not my coordinators fault, however, I would've liked some transparency from the owners. My biggest issue was the walk way... if you aren't familiar with this venue, it has a beautiful lily pond in the center where the bridal walk down should be. They assured me that it would be covered by something secure and that there wouldn't be any worries. Before the walk down, they Informed our officiant that the walk way does make some sounds when walked on but that we "shouldn't worry” I did not feel secure walking on this platform. There were obvious separations between the wooden slats that were horizontally covering the pond. The only thing aesthetically/visually holding it together was the black carpet runner that laid on top of it. My husband said "I wasn't able to fully appreciate the moment because I was terrified you were going to fall in during those moments." I told my bridesmaids about it later, and they felt the same way-terrified while walking down as the slats made loud banging sounds with every step. With the amount of money this venue charges, and the amount of storage space they have, you'd think they would've invested in a secure walk way. the staff that was hired to bus our tables and distribute food into the buffet line were awful. We ordered 200 donuts for our dessert table, and there was only space for about 24 donuts at a time, and absolutely no one was refilling the desserts. So I had guests asking me throughout the night where they could get some and me being the damn bride just assumed they had all been consumed? No... when we went to the kitchen after the party had ended, there were stacks of boxes untouched. Absolutely no one tended to the desserts, and same thing happened with the rest of the food. We took gallons of egg rolls home when several couples where asking where they could get more? $500 spent on desserts, $4000+ spent on food, and zero staff to pass it all out. During the reception a few of the guests asked if there was more food and the staff members said there was no food left, and a few of the bridemaids saw a member of the staff packing several to go boxes for herself. After the reception, I ran around in my dress begging friends to take home boxes of food, because it would've been thrown away. Chaos. Here's the kicker- my friend who was at the wedding ended up catering at the same venue the next day and saw the staff eating the left over donuts with the owner. I had a cake made by a family friend and she even let me borrow her cake stand and it went missing. I also had some hand woven lanterns that weren't picked up and the venue didn't reach out to let me know that they were left behind. I ended up calling a few days later when I learned they were missing and the coordinator made arrangements to put them in the parking lot for my husband to pick up. The cake stand is still missing and now I have to replace it. the saving grace of it all was Mathieu pulling it all off and making sure things went smoothly.

I had the opportunity of being the dj for a very elaborate and elegant birthday party. The venue was perfect for what the host wanted to accomplish. The event was catered and the venue staff worked hand in hand to ensure the caterer had what they needed to help make the event a success. Personally, I don't know any BBQ joints in Houston except for Goode Company BBQ, they may be able to assist you. Peace and Love

Do they do quinceneras here?
