Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge

Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge is now open. However, you still can't access Pfeiffer Canyon and beyond from Hearst Castle as the road is still closed north of Hearst Castle past Ragged Point. Highway 1 is closed from 4.6 miles north of Ragged Point to 10.3 miles north of Ragged Point at Mud Creek/Monterey County. Caltrans estimates it will be close to there until 9/30/18, so the road won't fully open until then. If you want to view north of Hearst Castle in ragged point before then, you will need to access it from the northern side and drive down. Then drive back out from the north when you are done.

The road down to the beach is ipen unless the parking lots are full. They cant hold a lot of vehicle's down there maybe 25 after that the park rangers will be at the top of the road and they wont ley you go down there until a vehicle comes out from the beach. They wont let you sit there and wait you have to drive back out and sit across the road and wait for somebody to come out then they may let you down to the beach.
