Mr. Borges
I am really disappointed. I'm not a big account. I am just a middle school science teacher who only uses about 30 liters of liquid nitrogen a year for class science demos and making ice cream. Not much, but it is important to me and really helps to get that "wow" factor to keep my students engaged. I have been buying my LN2 at this location (Airgas in Thousand Palms) for years, but when I went last month they were charging $10.40 a liter, with an out the door price of $140 for my 10 liter dewar! (The system for having the school purchase consumable stuff like this in the middle of the year, from rarely used vendors, is such a hassle that I just pay out of pocket for it, and I can't afford to over pay) I told them that wasn't the right price but they insisted that it was. I asked for the manager and he also said it was the right price. He suggested that my memory was wrong, and when I told him I had a old receipt the manager said that maybe some past employee was "giving away stuff for free" and probably has been fired since then. What? I am never going back, and I got the feeling they really didn't care about that either. I found out that Vagabond in Yucca Valley is way closer to my school, much more helpful and friendly, and they charge the reasonable prices I remembered. They changed me about $4 a liter and I was out the door with a full 10 liter dewar for only $48! About one third the price! I'll be spreading the word at every science teacher workshop/convention I go to in my area.

I went to buy an Argon tank today and it turns out they sold me an empty one

I go here about once a year to refill my sodastream. Staff is friendly, service is prompt, prices are reasonable. Couldn't ask for anything more.

They will recommend buying new ones
He's a Good guy in thousand palms. If you not in the industry it gets a little pricy. I do fab work classic cars and hot rods & really do not use my oxy-acetylene set very much at all. Most of the tools I use are metal forming tools, mig welder & tig welder. Hope that helps.
