My dog is diabetic. I’ve been to many vets included vet specialist due to my dog’s health condition. This hospital is literally a rip off. DO NOT GO TO HERE! Since I moved to elk grove, I started to go to Stone lake animal hospital. It was the biggest mistake ever I made. They charged over $300 a small ear infection. I compared prices of same medications/medical treatments with different clinics and online pharm. Stone lake charged 4 times more than any other places. Dr. Amol T also requested glucose curve test. My dog has taken the glucose curve test a few times before coming to this clinic. A vet specialist in Vista recommended that I buy self glucose kit and check my dog’s glucose level at home. Even some vets whom I met advised me that I check his Glucose level at home and bring it out to the clinic. They said they were going to evaluate it. Through of a few vet’s advices, I’ve concluded that it’s not necessary for my dog to take glucose curve test every each year as long as I check his glucose level twice per day. I asked the Stone lake vet technician why I need him to take it. She kept repeating it’s the “DOCTOR’S ORDER”. She said they are charging $290.00 for this. Of course, this place is rip off than any other place. They require unnecessary medical tests and unbelievably expensive medical treatments to customers. If you want to spend more than you should, go to STONE LAKE. NOT RECOMMENDED EVER!!!

Mailbox is full, they don’t return phone calls or emails. Have tried to contact them multiple times about our pet who is an existing patient there. Will be finding a new vet.
