As a professional wedding videographer, working at a venue that was created with photo/video in mind is a pleasure. The large prep areas for the bridal party is an absolute must. Natural light will make or break your photo and video quality, and SVM knows a thing or two about natural light. The venue is open to working with vendors to assure that the venue does not get in the way of our creative art (closing shades, turning off fans, and adjusting lighting). As someone who has been to countless venues that have the bridal party getting ready in a "closet", I truly appreciate what SVM has done with their bridal prep areas. The property is well kept and the staff is courteous and helpful. The one thing that I would like to see changed is the giant fans. There are can-lights directly above the fans, so when the fans turn, it creates a strobing effect on the walls. This is a minor inconvenience, but could easily be fixed by turning them off during dances & speeches. This appeared to be a great venue for my 2nd cousin's wedding reception. There was plenty of room for everyone, there was at least 12 large round tables with about 10 attendees per table, with one really long table at the end opposite the stairs (in front of windows that face west) there were two dance floor areas, a bar area, bathrooms were neat & clean with unique decor, there is an adjacent area were the buffet and pre-wedding party arrival snacks, plus a seating area around a fireplace (wasn't lit for the reception). I really liked the openness of the area. The only thing that irked me, is you can't see the sign when driving to it clearly coming from Ohio St Rt 122. And Google Maps is 300 yards off from the entrance of the destination. It is on the top of a hill, we ended up passing the entrance and Google Maps said "you've reached your destination - after we were past it. When I turned our car around - the sign to the venue was very easy to see. But from the other direction - if you've never been there - look for the wooden squarish arch at the entrance of the driveway to the venue.

Beatiful outdoor and indoor venue. The view was amazing and the atmosphere was comfortable&classy at the same time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
