***DO NOT USE THIS VET FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES*** I am not the type to write reviews especially negative ones... But as last night was the *2nd* time I was refused emergency services from Dr. Pillsbury I figured this was as good a time as any. My refusal was not for monetary concerns... I didn't even get that far as I was refused care over the phone because my "dog was too large" for her to manage alone. Despite my plead and assurance my husband and i could help with whatever need be...we were still refused service. My 7yr old German Shepherd violently suffered for 3 hours before passing away in my arms. I am not writing this for her... As i am sure this wont even glitch her radar...but for anyone else this has/could ever happen to. I truly hope no one else has this experience.

We have found Acorn Hills Animal Center and staff friendly, caring and professional. They always call us the next day after our visit to see how our Abby, and now Jesse are doing. For us, the extra steps they take means everything to us. Dr Pillsbury is wonderful. She makes our visits pleasant and calming to our pets. The time she takes to visit with us, is part of what we appreciate and love. She takes the time to explain, and to make sure, we clearly understand everything she is saying to us. If your pet is having an emergency dont bother trying to get an appointment here. Complete disregard for emergency and will always try and refer you to a place in Eldorado hills.
