This is actually a zero star rating. There appear to be nice rooms in this hotel according to other reviewers but unfortunately I did not get one of them. The carpet was full of stains, the furniture was damaged, the curtains looked like there was dried blood on them and the bed had a waterproof cover on the mattress which was uncomfortable and loud when you moved around. Why do you need a waterproof mattress cover? I’ve never stayed in a hotel that used a waterproof mattress cover. The only good thing about the hotel was the woman at the front desk who was very pleasant. Overall the hotel is old and in need of upgrades. I will not stay here again and will let everyone I know to find a different hotel if they are ever in this area. To the owner: You keep apologizing for the experience people have had here but it doesn't appear you actually do anything about it. You should not be allowed to rent out rooms in this condition. They certainly are not worth what you are charging.

If I could score as a zero, I would have. Issues with location: 1. Customer service - unfriendly welcome. Had to bring my own pen to sign?!? Wow. No extra rooms since wedding guest staying there. 2. Room - Strong cat urine smell (never went away) 3. Chairs - Soaked stains, grime ingrained chairs in the room. The cat urine smell was so strong that I couldn't tell if it was coming from the soaked stained chair. I could only guess. Definitely didn't sit on chairs. Office chair had a broken arm rest. Both chairs were something you'd see on the side of the road with a FREE sign on it. 4. Holley tore sheer curtains and splashes of red on the wall and chair. Not sure if it was blood stain. 5. AC - turned off every hour. Room blazing hot upon arrival. Hot weather, so we were up every hour to turn the AC back on. Got no sleep. 6. Contacted hotel customer service on website and by email - received no response except that it is a franchise location and they will try to contact them. Surprised that Sonesta would allow their brand name to have such poor represented by a franchise like this. I thought there were brand standards for franchises. 7. No hotels availability in the immediate area. All were booked for the night. I understand why Red Lion was not their first choice to stay at. Only reason we didn't sleep in the car (instead of this unclean hotel) was that it was too hot out. Friends and family will avoid any Sonesta and/or Red Lion Inns in the future. I suggest the same to you and your family. Well traveled. Never have experienced anything like this before.

This past 25th through the 27th my family and I had the pleasure of staying here at this hotel. We had to get out of our apartment while it was being repaired and because the fumes weren't safe for humans or animals to inhale, we had to vacate for 48 hours. We didn't want to travel too far and the location of this hotel was very convenient for Us. It's only about 1.2 miles from Our apartment. Plus this place is literally about 2 minutes to the freeway. The veiw 🪟was nice cause we could see the freeway and most of the main streets from our hotel room. Pretty cool to see big rigs🚛 exiting off the freeway to stop and get gas in the early hours of the morning. One thing I can say about this hotel yes it's old and it needs to be updated and refreshed but the staff there is so wonderful and they definitely make up for the cosmetic appearance that this hotel lacks. At check in, the manager Ms. Amber was attentive, respectful, considerate and mad sure she and her staff was top of all the needs of my family and I! For example when my wife and I went swimming and they had pool towels. They also have a small, but nice fitness area. I am physically disabled with a service animal 🐕‍🦺and they welcome him there with no problems. Anything my family and I needed, we were able to get from the front desk or it was brought up to to our room. Upon entering our room, you can smell the fresh and cleanliness👃🏾 ( wish I could have gotten the name of the air freshener they use in there by the way). The beds🛏️ were so comfy! Especially for somebody like me with a bad back waiting on a back fusion I honestly didn't want to leave that bad it was so comfortable. Nice fluffy pillows and the rooms are decent size! Oh and the air conditioners, my goodness I sure wish I had one in my house. They blow ice cold 🥶🧊and during the summertime one Perris, when we were are in triple digits most days, that A/C was our best friend! The housekeeping 🧽there is absolutely phenomenal!!!! I would have gave it five stars had the hotel been updated and unfortunately the sinks and showers drain a little bit slow. However, other than that we enjoyed our stay. I definitely took advantage of the free coffee and tea☕ They have a nice selection of herbal teas 🍵available for their guests along with coffee. The coffee was actually delicious and they had the option of flavored creamer or half and half. They also have sugar and sugar substitutes available for the guest which I thought was great and I definitely took advantage of it during my stay😂. No it's not the best location, but it's Perris but come on guys 🤷🏾‍♀️ The staff and housekeeping🧹 makeup for everything else! If my family and I ever needed to stay in the hotel again close to my house I would definitely choose this place. Thank you Red Lion for making our family stay as comfortable as possible ‼️🤔

Positive: The staff were responsive to our concerns and very polite/helpful. When we communicated the issues about our room and requested to switch, they immediately worked to transfer us to a new suite. Negative: The hotel is older and our first room had many issues. There were gigantic stains in the carpet, bugs in the BR & the desk chair was missing. We also lost hot water midway through our shower and endured a repetitive dripping noise from the rm next door.
