I drove up to the Local Bookie from Concord NH on a Saturday afternoon, July 24th. Every possible resource that I could find said they would be open until 5pm. Their Facebook said so, as did their voicemail message. Google said so as well. …Sorry, I was in the hospital having emergency surgery on my broken leg. Life happens.

The woman who owns this place is wonderful. This bookstore is like a treasure trove for readers. It looks small from the outside but I could spend literally spend all day here looking through books. If you haven't checked it out, you are missing out!

The owner is friendly and helpful, and there's a huge variety of books! The books are used and very reasonably priced. Love this place! If you'd stop by, be sure to say hello to the friendly bookstore dog.
