The Spanish lady at the window 1 was giving me a hard time, because kids were born outside United States She asked me to provide a passport for them or a proof of citizenship. I don’t know why she care so much about their citizenship of my minor kids. I was there for name change. I showed them my US passport because kids are automatically US citizen once the parents became a citizen. She said it’s not automatic that’s why She wanted me to spend $600 dollars each of my kids to get a citizenship certificate to prove her that they are citizen. She said that’s the only option I have or apply for a passport for them with their old last name then come back to social security office and change their last name. Then I have to reapply for another passport with a new last name. this process will cost me more than 2000 dollars just to satisfy her and probably will take months before I can complete what she was asking for. I even suggested to her that work on their last name first because that’s the reason I was there and not to care on their citizenship on so I can get them a passport then I’ll come back to update their citizenship in their system. Nope! She didn’t like it and it was totally waste of time. Another Asian lady before me was raising her voice at her because she was making things so difficult for her. I hope the system will pay attention to our concern and train her how to treat Asian people equally. She is rude and doesn’t know what she’s doing. I walked out and went to Stockton office. They have more knowledge and they didn’t give me a hard time like she did. After 20 mins it’s done! I should receive it by mail within 5 to 7 days.

The staff is very lazy and unwilling to help. I was there on 07/05/20022 to reinstate my aunty's benefits. They gave me a telephone appointment for August 3rd. When questioned why it is so late the lady said that they are running behind on their appointments. My aunt came back to States on May 20th, and I was in that office on May 25th. I was told to come back after June 20th to reinstate her benefits. When I went back on 07/5/20222, I was given a telephone appointment for August 3rd, a month later. When asked the lady how come you guys did not make an appointment for her when I was her on May 25th, she said that they cannot make appointments for something like that month early. I asked her what about her medical benefits. She just shrugged her shoulders. I went to the Stockton SSO office right after I left Manteca office, and everything was taken care of in 15 minutes as soon as I was called at the window. I am never going back to Manteca office again and it is not my first experience with them. VERY VERY LAZY PEOPLE.

My husband and I had no appointment. We received prompt and professional service. She made everything easy to understand. There was huge issue that I created online. Very knowledgeable and personable employee. We were both very pleased with our experiance.

No it goes by what you are there for first takes about 20mij for you to check in then you sit and wait again like 30 minutes to get seen about your problem

What is the Manteca office Fax #? You suggest to people to send in docs thru fax and then don't make it available. Why do you list the question but not the answer? Why don't you have it on the website? Since no one ever answers the phone, this seems non-sensical or intentionally frustrating or both. Anyway, I need the number.

Maybe call and ask. I have a certain lady that I send any information to. You can also go into the Social Security building and give them the information or send it through the mail to the office.
Call the Social Security Administration and set up an appt to do the interview. Depending on location you can do a telephone interview or in person. Make sure you have all your information ready. Docs, medications, diagnosis etc.

That is a very good question and I'm sorry I don't have the answer but if you go into "My Social Security Account" you may be able to find the answer, it's online or if you can't find the answer call or just go in and make a day of it.
Yes, for many cases. Depending on the state she was born in though, this may not be an available service online yet. The social security website has all the answers you need. If you need further assistance, the office in Manteca is very helpful. I have no complaints about that office.
