There were pluses and minuses with our early Fall stay at the Bishop Creek Lodge. The staff were kind, efficient, and helpful upon check in and check out. Our cabin had a good view, but unfortunately the rooms were not clean. Needed to wipe down pretty much every surface due to dust and dirt. The refrigerator was new and the oven/burners worked. Oddly, the largest window was covered with a sheet tacked to the frame. The drive from Bishop to the Lodge was very picturesque with brilliant aspens and birches along aside the creek.

This resort is one of the most spectacular places every built. Great customer service, food service and a nice and friendly greeting dog named Pepper. Definitely 5 stars.

Very nice location. Cute cabins. Absolutely spotless kitchen and bath (and cabin) which we greatly appreciated since other places we've stayed in the Sierra's were not close to clean! Nice size kitchen and bath room in Cabin 6. (Kitchen could use a few more dishes, cups, glasses and a sharp knife or two for cooking in my opinion, though.) Comfortable bed. We were there with another couple who had their own 2 person cabin. It was hard to eat dinner together in either cabin since the bedroom is the main room upon entering. Two sat at the little table in the bedroom & 2 had to sit on the bed to eat. (It was too cold to eat at the picnic table outside.) Just something to note in case you're expecting a living area. Very fun bar and bartender.

Yes, up Bishop Creek there is a RV park with full hookups. It is called Creekside RV park. Before you reach Creekside there is dry camping on the left side called 4 Jeffery. On your way up to lake Sabrina, which is on the other fork, there is also dry camping before you get to Aspendel and right before you get to the lake. Our family just got back after a week of fresh air, a little rain and gorgeous views everywhere... Best of all it was cool! Check it out for sure I think you'll love it
