I do a lot of Hot Springs. This is one of my favorites. Gorgeous, serene setting. Wonderful facility all around.

I always thought I liked this place and was willing to accept the unprofessionalism, sometimes dirty conditions and weird rules because that's what you get...in a rural area. Today was just over the top. I drove an hour 1/2 here to find out I could not utilize my membership because in a previous visit the reservation was not in my name. Therefore, I would have to repay for my own year long membership. We paid together, therefore I have to ask my friend to repay me to start my own membership. During our last visit we asked clearly what this membership included. It was explained nothing was added that should I want to visit on my own I couldn't come without my friend. 😡

Sierra hot springs has 3 main areas that they offer using hot spring water. The main pool area was by far my favorite spot. The main pool area has two options. There's a pool that has pretty warm water. It's nice to swim and chill in. But nearby the pool is a hot pool that is pretty dang hot, but so nice to soak in. My favorite spot by far. Then they had the Phoenix bath's. Which are private rooms on a First come basis. From my experience though I never ran into anybody and in my attempt to use them they did not work. So this was my least favorite area. Finally they have the meditation pool. This area was nice. I would go during the night, and there's nothing nearby. It's just trees and natural light. It was also a very quite area. It was nice but the water wasn't very warm. Once you get in, it would take about five minutes to feel like you were in normal water. Nonetheless with all the options, even clothing being optional, there's enough to keep you busy while relaxing. Finally I opted to stay in the rooms they have on site. The room was nice, beds were neat, and the commons room was basically a kitchen you had fill access too... My only complaint would be how creaky the floors were. It would be a little awkward cause there was this feeling of needing to be quite... But the floor would just creak. Anyways, I would still recommend going and enjoying the hot springs!

It's 20$ during the week for 3h. 25$ on weekends.
Yes, no reservation is necessary. You might want to phone and let them know you are coming. It is easy to miss the turn, as it has only a street sign. Enjoy!
At this moment in time yes i believe so. We stoped by on our way back from Lake Tahoe. Do to Covid they have gone to reservations only no walk-ins or day passes. However the staff was extremely friendly and allowed us to use the restrooms with the little one in tow. Call ahead reservations are usually out about three to four days. The camping pass is 2 p.m. to 2 p.m. the next day.
Nobody would stop you, but you may get some puzzled looks. Maybe just wrap a towel? Also, the walkways are quite pebbley, so I'd strongly recommend shoes.
They're pure mineral water.
I went prior to Covid and for 24 hour access it was $40
Yes. Based on availblity. There is The Globe hotel with private rooms just down the road from the springs.
The hot springs do not close, however, I am not sure if there is actually someone at their front desk 24 hrs a day.
