What an awesome Park. The views from the top are amazing! Douglas Lake and the surrounding area looks just so gorgeous from up there. Great place to go have lunch there is brand new grills buy picnic tables overlooking the lake. Great place to have a picnic

This actually no longer a park, its under water in summer and a dry lake bed in winter, still a great place to enjoy nature, mt cove marina is located in this same area and they have a campground only for RVs and camper trailors, another mile down the street is TVA campground and they accommodate both tents and rvs , there are trails as well as a swimming beach area, picnic tables , a free boat luanch and there are also kayak rentals in the warm months, i believe its called douglas headwater and douglas tailwater campground, they Re both located close to the dam and tge french broad river is right there as well! Hooe this helps:)
