Very quiet laid back campground. We stayed on site 44. It was big and right on the lake. Sites 41 - 44 are prime sites. They are on a dead end loop and all lake side. With that said Its not easy booking a lake site. They are literally booked solid all year. There's no playground but we knew that going in. The lake is great for kayaking(again, right off the your site). The bathrooms and shower house are old but they were very clean. The showers have push button water. Kind of annoying but the water was hot and the water pressure was strong. There is a new dump station. I'm not sure how it looked before but there is 2 places to dump. We were able to dump quickly at around 930am. The deer flies were horrendous. As soon as I stepped out of my truck they were on my head. That was consistent the entire week. Maybe the heat played a factor in that. But it was ridiculously annoying. No brand or amount of bug spray helped. Possibly the only complaint was the fire pit. We stayed with family adjacent to our site. The fire pit is tall and built to have a fire in front. You cannot sit around it. If you want to get away for some peace and quiet this is the place. I highly recommend it.

Overall it’s a good campground, but for us something was off about. It wasn’t secluded enough. You can totally see your neighbors and hear them fart at night or do other things. Not my thing. We had family that had two campsites on both …

Our family camps at many NYS campgrounds. Cranberry Lake quickly became one of our favorites. Although the sites are in desperate need of upgrades, the view and the lake itself is beautiful. We had fun fishing, swimming, and relaxing all …

I love how spaced out the sites are. There are some beautiful site on the water that we’ll choose next time. There’s more than 1 dump station which is very convenient. They offered free wood and toys for the kids. The bathrooms were clean …

Yes you can run a generator for electricity. But you can only run it from 9 to 11 an 4 to 7 for a total of 5 hours not 6. I was referring to electricity supplied by campground.
Trout fishing on Brandy Brook is ok. Oswegatchi river below Cranberry Lake good in spring spotty in fall.
Yes there are several
2 tents per site
I have ATT and had excellent signal.
Trail opens campground closed
All reserveamerica.com reservation cancelations have a fee.
Week before memorial day
If you parachute in from 6,000 feet, it'll only take a coupla minutes... if yer in a rush...
I don't believe any sites offer electricity. If you check reserveamerica.com for the site it will tell you.
We tent camped and trailer camped put all food in cars each night brought trash to dumpsters each night and had no problems we where there for a week on August 2018 when asking about the bears they said there are some but haven't had an issue in years planning another trip back this summer
I believe so but don't quote me on that but I do know we had a site in that area and it was only less than 30 yards away. We where at the top of the campground and had really easy access to the lake.
About 25 miles (+ or - a few).
Definitely not at the campground, and I'm pretty sure not in any of the nearby towns. There's really not much within a half hours drive of the campground.
There are also primitive sites all around the lake. However, you'll need a boat or canoe to get their.
No electrical or water hookups. There is a dump station and water spigot tjat can be accessed. People usually bring generators for electricity. Can run tjem from 9-11 in the morning. And 4-7 in the evening. You will be asked to shut tjem off after hours, especially if someone complains.
There are boat rentals in town
