My mother was sent there for rehabilitation the staff seem to be okay at first but then afterwards it was lousy they kept putting her out near the desk when my brother and I both told them not to put her out there near the desk. Her legs were swollen from sitting out near the desk all day. They weren't going to do anything about it until I told them I didn't want her out near the desk I wanted her in the bed and that's when they put her in the bed. She would ring the bell they wouldn't come for a long time more than an hour later. When I would call up there to talk to my mother she seem to be out of breath every time . I've asked them to go check on her and to turn her oxygen up so she can breathe better. She had heart problems and then when she passed away a few days after, they tried telling me she didn't have any heart problem before , I know for a fact she had her problems because she was on oxygen a few years ago and she used to smoke a long time ago 30 40 years ago,she was a light smoker. About 10 years ago she was on oxygen and they tried telling me she didn't have any heart problems they didn't know apparently know her past or history with her heart because they didn't do nothing about. The nurse told me that they had to sedate her and a couple days later they'd had to hire her sedation because she was bursting out hollering she had dementia but I think when they gave more her sedation I think that's what made her die.

I was at the Grand for 53 days and I was very impressed by the staff, the nurses in and the physical therapist at this facility. The nursing were kind, compassionate, caring, and professional. Whenever I had a need that needed to be met they were there consistently meeting my need. There have been many negative reports about the Grand, but the Grand has gone many different agencies. The care I received.was excellent. The physical therapist were outstanding and very professional. When it was time for therapy they were there consistently to make sure you put forth the effort to get better and then return home. I would recommend the Grand to anyone who is looking for a rehab facility in our area.

My aunt was there twice for rehab and it seemed like they bent over backwards for her!
