Love renting from the Overland Park, Kansas Southridge location. The staff are always helpful and they always make sure my rental is ready when I arrive. I rent a vehicle from here 2-3 times a year to get my son back and forth to college in Hartford,CT. The gentleman that's there makes sure I'm satisfied with my rental. After a very bad experience with another rental company, Avis came to my rescue. Ever since this is the only place I'll rent from.

If I could give a 0 I would. Car was dirty, inside and out. Food crumbs in the seats and dirt on the back floor. Window had bugs dried on it. Car rode like it had be rode hard an put up wet.

AVOID THIS AVIS!! Bad business practices!!! I have rented cars many times in the past year from Lawrence Avis and I am always treated well. This time Lawrence had no cars available so I reserved a car at this Avis in Overland Park. The man was rude. He ran my debit card and took my IDs, then told me my AARP card was declined (it's paid through April 2023). Then he said he had to run my debit card again, stupidly I gave it to him and it was declined (I had enough in the account for one rental and deposit and gas money)...he ran the card again, said it was declined and said he couldn't rent the car to me. I got on my online banking app and showed him where the money for deposit and rental was already taken out of my account. All he said was the card was declined. I asked how I can get my money back, he said call corporate and rattled off an 800 number. I asked him to slow down please. He rattled it off again and turned away. He was a very rude man with no care that my bank account was $280 lighter on a car he wouldn't rent to me. AVOID THIS AVIS!! From now on, I will go to my local Avis where I am treated like a human being and if there are no cars available there, I will wait.

After drop off I suggest Uber and I think Avis has free cancellation as long as it's within 24 hours
