I volunteer for the Vera House and often have to make phone calls to Family Court regarding very sensitive cases. I am extremely baffled by the lack of kindness from whomever answers the phone. I understand they probably receive several phone calls a day and have to talk to people that don’t have the most pleasant personalities. However that doesn’t give them the right to treat everyone poorly. I just don’t understand why they are so mean for no reason. All I’m trying to do is help women affected by domestic violence. Every time I have to call Family Court I dread it. I have even been hung up on before. Why is this allowed?

Horrible customer service. The ladies answering the phone have horrible attitudes. Have 9am appt and still not ready by 11am.

Pirro Bailey is a disgrace and ruins families. She should not be in her position. I give her no stars. She is completely unfair. If you know her she will be on your side no matter what the situation is. She is unable to be a fair judge.

Whoever answers the phones needs to work on her people skills, especially considering she’s doing intake for very a very sensitive matter.

They no longer handle divorces here its at another building.
You would have to go down to the family court office and see if they still have that record on file for it
Yes, the courts offer quite a bit of DIY help. There are many things that you can do without a lawyer, but the divorce area is one place where it is incredibly complex. It is not uncommon that I have clients come to me after they have struggled to fill out the forms and follow the many procedures and rules which the courts have imposed on divorces.
They apparently are not in charge. Someone else decides the court date....its stupid. Are you going to be able to erve them???
You need to send your request with a fee for copying to the county clerk's office. Your attorney should also have a copy in your file. Hope this has helped.
Yes. Go to room 101
