Disappointed with the service I received. My fiancé and I ordered 16 windows and 1 sliding glass door on April 6th. We were quoted a great price and a 10 week run time. Both reasons that we went with American over the big box stores (Lowes, Home Depot). Before we signed and paid the deposit I asked the salesman over and over to ensure that they were not having any "covid" supply chain issues and that the quoted 10 week run time would be true- he assured me that the 10 week run time would be correct with a potential of a 2 week delay but nothing like the 6-8 week delay we experienced. On June 1st, I received an email that my project materials were due to be delivered on June 8th. This aligned correctly with our 10 week run time which would have put us at June 13th for project start. However, on June 13th, I received an email that my materials have a 6-8 week run time and my project would begin on July 4th. Frustrated, I emailed operations in which I received an email that read "our original timeline of June 1st then switched to June 8th, was your window timeline. I should have called you and explained the situation. Your sliding door was not considered when calculating your expected delivery date. Then overlooked once again when you called for an ETA update. We have had failures on multiple levels." It sounds like someone screwed up and our sliding glass door was never ordered. Our windows and door were finally installed on July 18th (14 weeks from order). The installation team was wonderful, quick, and kind. Cleaned up well after install and were very helpful to try to avoid the room that I was in as I work from home. HOWEVER, then during install, the wrong basement windows were ordered- not the fault of the installers. They ordered the windows and said they would rush ship them and they would be here in 2 weeks (would be Aug 1st). On Aug 9th, I received an email that the basement windows would be in on Aug 22nd- 3 weeks longer than what we were told. Our windows were not installed until September 6th- 7 weeks since quoted. This is the second time that we have been quoted a timeline from American Window and Door that ended up wildly different than the timeline we were told. I understand that there are still supplier shortages but American Window and Door needs to do better- don't quote the customer 2 weeks when it is really going to be 7 weeks. In addition to this, I have had to call to ask for an updated timeline after the quoted timeline has come and gone with no update given. Not to mention the fact that I am having to call for an update for windows that were supposed to be installed on July 19th in the first place but were the wrong size do to mistakes on the company's behalf. I reached out to the company to see if there was something they could do to rectify this situation- all I got was a "sorry, we have had failures on multiple levels. We have forwarded your concern to upper management." They offered a discount of $250 in hopes that that would result in a 5 star review which was borderline insulting thinking that taking $250 off of a $13,000 order that was 4 weeks late to begin with, had the wrong windows ordered, and then was 5 weeks late on the additional windows would rectify the situation. We choose American because they were recommended by our realtor when we purchased our house and for the price and run time. My father recently had Lowe's install windows and they were only slightly more expensive and in the end their run time was shorter than what American provided. I would not recommend American Window and Door to friends or family. If you want an honest dependable company that will own up to their mistakes and ensure that the customer is well taken care of and satisfied go with Lowes or Home Depot.

After 2 months they took a second measurement and said the manager never put in a second measure in the system after I paid half of the amount, so they never ordered the door because they fired him. Why there is only one person to handle this job?
