How lucky we are to have this unique gem in the Northwoods! Their menu has variety…not the usual fried food (although their Milanese Crusted Walleye is excellent!) We started with Botanical Fungo which was delicious. The Hawaiian Shrimp was bursting with flavor and the Duck was cooked perfectly. We finished the evening at the big, beautiful bar with one of the best Old Fashioneds in the area! The owners are very friendly and want you to relax and enjoy your visit. There may be a wait during peak times but they are one of the few places that take reservations. We had a beautiful meal and always enjoy the ambiance here!

We LOVE Asana Suka and make it a point to go there every time we are up north. So far we are at 5 visits. 🙂 Each meal has been exemplary. Every appetizer off the charts excellent and have tried many of the mains. The ahi tuna should go head to head with any “fancy” big city restaurant. The black cherry salad dressing is so unusual and makes you wish they sold it by the quart. On our last visit we had fresh bourbon peaches, pecans and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Perfect kick off to summer! And the drinks… they are as visually appealing as they are tasty. It may be a bit out of the norm for “up north” but there is something special and unique here that the owners are doing and definitely worth the stop…Or 5. :)

Don’t waste your time and money. Don’t risk your health. Went for drinks. Greeter was very friendly and professional. That’s where it stopped. Server was rude, unprofessional, and service was SLOW. Then we got to spend time with ants crawling up the wall. Had to kill one, with our napkin. Told server, she just gave us a new napkin. More ants came. Ants were more eager than our server. Asked for manager to report the sanitation concern and left.

Asana Suka "to sit in happiness" - Land 'O Lakes is a fine dining experience in the Northwoods. Located near the Wisconsin/ Michigan border on Hwy 45, you'll find the historic restaurant with new owners Jake & Emily ready to take great care of you and create and serve you fresh, made from scratch meals. We started with Crab Rangoon ala Asana Suka style...soft flaky pastry stuffed with lump crab and cream cheese, we loved them. For dinner, she had the Milanese Crusted Walleye served with golden mashed potatoes and the house salad served with a refreshing blueberry dressing. The crispy panko encrusted fillet was large and prepared to perfection - possibly the best walleye in the Northwoods. I tried the glazed Norwegian salmon - delicious, however the triple citrus glaze was slightly over done for my taste. The salmon was excellent though. Our server Andrea was attentive and happy to serve. Jake was very communicative, while scheduling our reservation, even though this was a slower time of the year. A glass of 7 Falls and a classic "Wisconsin in a glass", Brandy Old Fashioned were perfect compliments to a delicious and memorable experience at Asana Suka. Give Emily & Jake a visit the next time you want to celebrate a outstanding Northwoods dining experience, I know we sure did.
