We went as a group and had a great time. Our guide was very friendly and did a great job. The waters and rafting were so much fun. This rafting trip would be more for older kids who could swim and were comfortable in the water. Too rough for any littles.

My family had a phenomenal rafting experience. Stan the Man was our very experienced river guide and he was full of stories and lies 🙂 to make a great rafting experience even more fun. His experience showed when we manuevered the rapids in ways other rafts didn't, making it an exciting run of the river. Loads of fun!

I went here this week with a youth group. They hosted some of the Olympic athletes for the summer '96 games and its a beautiful location nestled in a valley between some mountains just barely in Tennessee across from the North Carolina boarder. The people were all really nice and took good care of us from the front office to the horse trainers, to the food staff, to the paintball guys, raft guides, and ropes course peeps. They made our experience better and more memorable. The kids had fun doing all the things and the staff kept them safe and under control. The food served in the mess hall here is pleasantly surprising. Definitely better than the camp food I don't remember as a kid. They had a really high food inspection score as well. Shout out to Geraldine, Chris, Diane, and the Waffle King and Queen. If you are a leader, ask nicely and you too can probably sneak in and get some coffee before its your group's time to eat. The raft guides, shout out to Annie, were all great and experienced. Our four rafts had no trouble making it down the Ocooe under their expert leadership. Listen well to the instruction you are given and row in sync and you too might get to do some extra exciting things on the Ocoee. (Thanks, Annie!!) Our cabins are your typical group cabin fare. Large room with a bunch of bunks, one small bathroom, back screened in porch with some more bunks and a front porch with a rocking chair, swing, and bench. They had AC and fans and it looked like a heater too. The boys fought over outlets so bring power strips unless you plan on banning phones. The mattresses are the typic campground ones, pretty thin and uncomfortable for the aging adults (stacking them helps). Cabins have keypad locks so your stuff is safe. Great experience which is why we've come back two years in a row and plan to next year as well.

The families of Trail Life Troop 184 had a great time last weekend at the Whitewater Express campsite, including many different activities that were available to us. We had access to rafting, high ropes courses, horseback riding, and paintball for a small event fee and the campground provided swimming (including a blob), Frisbee golf, ping pong, gaga ball, four square, and mountain biking. Our food was part of the package and each day we had multiple choices to choose from for each meal. Some families chose to tent camp and some stayed in cabins. We were able to build fires in multiple established fire pits. The staff was always friendly and accomodating! I highly recommend the Whitewater Express company and packages for your family's vacations.
