Extremely disappointed at this place. Was a patient for a very long time, but will not be going back. Dr. Vivas is a great doctor, however. Was seen by someone else on my last visit, huge mistake.

Do you do light box treatment for eczema?

Minars Dermatology | Sep 20, 2020

We have a narrow band uvb panel (but it's not a "box" so you must turn around and it takes longer.) We don't use it much. Try Carlos Cohen, MD in Pembroke Pines (I believe he has a "box").

How much cost prior to treatment of my acne?

Minars Dermatology | Sep 20, 2020

Hi Joy, thanks for your inquiry. It is hard to put a specific amount out there since every case is unique. We would want to book a consultation with you to discuss your options and depending on treatment the costs vary. Please contact our office for more information or to book an appointment, we'd love to see you.

We use both Botox and Dysport. They are very similar. Sometimes we choose one over the other based on doctor or patient preference or if one brand has a patient promotion going on.

Can you do laser hair removal on brown or black skin?

Minars Dermatology | Sep 21, 2019
Minars Dermatology | Sep 21, 2019

Yes we can safely and effectively treat all skin types and colors with laser hair removal. We have been doing it for over 20 years. We have two lasers for laser hair removal: one for light skin colors and one for dark skin colors. We use these on patients every day. The laser for brown or black skin is designed to be safe for these skin colors. It is very effective at treating coarse dark hair (like chin, bikini, underarms, or beard), but it is not effective at treating very fine hair (or "fuzz").
