One of my favorite places to go it's never crowded. It does get super windy a lot but it's still a beautiful place to go and enjoy the scenery. It is a preserve so they do have a lot of rules like no dogs
Pine Watt
Great beach walk with views of the huge dunes and snowy plover. We found several cool rock formations and a few natural water seeps (small spring). The walk was ~4.5 miles round-trip.

When it is time to leave, get out. They start closing up 15 minutes before the actual close time, fyi. Nice beach, well taken care of. Enjoy the scene! There is a restroom but bring wet wipes if you need to do anything other than #1.

Yes. Not only in santa Barbara but it's true
No, they do not have camping setup.
The road to the parking lot is paved and there is no parking fee.
They do not leave campar, only to visit by the day.
👍 yes
This is park, dunes, and beach is a wild natural area that is out of the way and has thankfully for wildlife, been protected for native species and wildlife from both pets and people, by dogs not allowed and from undue human intrusion by a very limited parking area, and by areas that people may not disturb by entering. The drive to the beach across the dune expanse is otherworldly and the ocean often is dangerously stirred up and awe inspiring.
