I liked the roof deck and the trails. There are 3 sets of bathrooms that are much nicer than typical park bathrooms. There is a little museum downstairs, but I just peeked in before heading upstairs to relax a bit before continuing to check out the trails.

I haven't been there for a while. It is updated with bridges and a 3 mile loop past the beaches and Annie's Canyon, and the new bridge under the freeway. It is awesome! The Nature Center has a beautiful building and great trails. We saw an Osprey, Egrets and and Stingrays. It was a great day!!

Very pretty & tranquil walk, the visitor center has AC & bathrooms but only service dogs allowed inside. My pup enjoyed the trail & smells.

From the San Diego Reader: "The San Elijo Lagoon is now part of a new overlay of environmental protection, one of a few new categories. Known as the San Elijo Lagoon State Marine Conservation Area, the new category offers multi-agency protection by state Dept. of Fish and Wildlife game wardens, the city, county, and the nonprofit San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy." Bottom line, you can get a ticket, depending on whether the warden wants to be by the book or let you off with a warning.

Small parking lot and if full, along the street
