I am not exaggerating when i say this place has not changed a bit since the 1980s (probably even earlier, but that's the first time I went there). I say that in a very positive way though. I love it when I go into a business and it feels kind of like stepping back in time. I went in on Tuesday afternoon and the place was empty, save for two young men, employees, that looked as though they could have been from a vintage era themselves. They were clean cut and polite. I felt welcome and immediately very comfortable. I will make it a point to get my guitar strings from here from now on. I love that places like this still exist.

If they don't have it, they'll get it! Out of print? No problem, time travel is no obstacle at Hensons. Whatever your music needs are, they'll take care of you. Is your rare, almost unheard of instrument having some rare, almost unheard of problem? Lisa has not only heard of your instrument and problem, but she has fixed 628 instruments just like yours with the same exact nebulous issue in her sleep--blindfolded while handcuffed and sedated. She'll return your instrument back in such pristine condition, it'll play itself and start its own record label.

The pads arent that expensive. How long it takes depends on when you bring it in. It takes longer around the time school starts because everyone is bringing their instruments in.

As long as you wear a mask, you are welcome to do business inside. In addition, if you prefer not to come in, we offer service at the front door or will deliver product outside to your car.
Daniel, It depends on the repair. We do re-stringing, resetting the sound post, or putting on new bridges or chin rests. Anything more extensive, like a crack or finish repair, we are not able to do.
Alan, If you bring in your own strings, we will put them on for $15. That includes cleaning and conditioning the fingerboard, cleaning and polishing the guitar body and installing and tuning the new strings. Linda
Yes, but call to make sure. They have a pretty low inventory of things so if it's sold, it might take time to get another one.
