Great information on the islands

To go camping in the channel islands, you need to take a boat here, park at the designated location overnight, hand over the large camping luggage to the crew, and queue up to collect it when you disembark. The island itself is difficult to transport to the campsite, and the island tends to be hotter than the mainland. When encountering pods of dolphins at sea, the captain will slow down for everyone to watch.

Nice center with information about the Channel Island. Be sure to watch the movie, and check out the tide pool inside the center. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Great for kids!

No, the museum and observatory are free. There is a gift shop as well. In order to get to the islands you will have to go through the park concessionaire (Island Packers) which does cost money - amounts vary depending on which island you want to visit. Also be aware that sometimes island trips have to be canceled or postponed due to weather conditions.
