Best campground ever in the redwoods on the Gualala river lots of fun for kids and adults. Started going there when I was a kid continue to go there now. Very pricey campground full hook ups water showers playground easy access to the rive.r. I highly recommend going there but you'll need to get reservations at least a year in advance

My wife made me cancel the reservation I made for other campground and she did the reservation with her requirements: tall trees , not so hot, water nearby, electricity outlet, running water, walking trails. This campground checked all her requirements. We had fantastic 3 nights in the campground with our site looking over the Gualala River. Our 7 years old had so much fun that he forgot to open his toy bag he noticed only after we came back home. Awesome time!

This campground is amazing! The sites are generous and beautiful, the grounds are very well maintained, and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. You can't beat the beauty of the redwoods. There is a store where one can buy essentials and …

Only one "super" site has full hookups. This is usually reserved for groups of 3-4 trailers/rvs. There are two dump stations onsite and pay-for septic dolly services. The majority of sites have water & 30/50A service
I do beleive you can rent the common space they have that accomodates lots of people. Call front desk!
September, labor day I believe, but they may stay open through the end of September.
Yes! Very dog friendly. Their website says "no rottweilers, pit bulls, or other aggressive breeds" (although I personally don't feel rotts OR pits deserve that label!) On-leash only, not allowed in buildings or restrooms unless they are service animals, but they are welcome throughout campground and even down on the shores of the river. Make sure you bring the mosquito repellant for humans and dogs alike though! (It's worse nestled in the redwood sites, but worth it!)
GRRP is open May-Sept. Not year-round. Reservations are recommended June- Aug
Gualala river itself is shallow. If you're thinking of Gualala river through the campground itself, its not for swimming! Thick moss, nasty smell. Go to Gualala river beach side instead.. deepest we saw.is probably 7-8 feet..
Yes, there are 2 dump stations on site. I had sewer connect, though, so I don't know what (or if) they charge, but it seemed to be unregulated, so I think its free with your site reservation.
Yes you can. I do not know how successfully??
They do have dump staitions also a mobile service if you dont want to do it yourself.
I believe its 9-5. They may be busy today
