As a teacher, I decided to do the majority of my back to school shopping early today, in order to beat the flood right before school starts. The last time I shopped at Get Smart was at their prior location however, the set up is almost exactly the same. I felt comfort in going in and finding pretty much what I had in mind (almost in the same physical spot too 😆). I also laminated the posters I purchased today. I was able to use my points to get $10 and also got a free desk calendar for spending at least $100 today. My only critique is limited parking.

I made a trip to store and came back empty handed. If you know what items sell out every year; common sense will tell you order more then the previous year. 🤔🤔🤔

Get Smart is a company that has been around since I was a kid. While it used to be a much larger in size, this location still offers meaningful teacher supplies and relatively good prices. Are they the cheapest store in town? No. Do they offer as much as Hobby Lobby? No. But, here you are paying into a small, local business and that is worth every penny in my book. Word of advice before you visit: plan to go early (I mean three weeks to a month before school starts because if you don’t, you risk not getting the items you really want), do not park in the designated parking spaces for the surrounding businesses (they do tow from time to time), and make sure you sign up for their rewards program for freebies. All in all, this is a reputable local business that offers tons of classroom decor options at reasonable prices. Would recommend to any teacher who wants to support a local business and shop small.
