There She Glows

I felt like I was sent back to the 1920s… I walked in MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS!!! Ready to shop for an upcoming play at open stage theatre, in between also going for my daily run in the neighborhood. I didn’t mind the selection it is what happened once the owner saw me that was very disturbing. As I walked towards the back he begin to walk towards me asking me why I came out of the house dressed as I was. I didn’t even know how to respond because I was also on a phone call. This was highly uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I didn’t know people still were monitoring or censoring women’s body’s in 2022. Ironically he had mostly women’s clothing in there too. I was disgusted because I too own a business and pride myself on respect and customer service. I will NEVERRRRRR step foot in this store again and if you are an empowered woman you should not either.

The owner was so sweet- I was visiting from out of town and wanted to see the area and she made me feel so welcomed! If I'm ever in the area again I will be sure to visit. There's also some really great finds there
