Fiddler's Roost B & B Cabins - Each With Hot Tub

We stayed in Bear Run for two nights and LOVED it! The setting, the lodge, the hot tub, the varied breakfasts, the charming owners. We really liked that the area doesn’t have wifi or internet connection (at least not for our British cell phones), as it made it much easier to switch off and enjoy the setting. If you plan on eating at the lodge, buy food a little earlier in the day as it is a >30 min drive to a grocery store with a full range of options for cooking. The kitchen is small but works well for preparing a simple meal. We can’t wait to visit again one day.

Writing this as we are headed home 😕 Wonderful, cozy, comfortable, peaceful, and delicious breakfast each morning. The cabin we stayed in "Vintage View" had beautiful long range mountain views. The owners were super friendly and responded quickly to my request to bring our 4 legged baby along. Enjoyed walking around downtown Galax,eating and visiting the little shops. Would definitely return to Fiddler's Roost and highly recommend to all our friends looking a peaceful get away.

My husband, dog and I stayed 3 nights in the Wolf Ridge cabin for our anniversary and had a great stay. The weather was cold and rainy the first 2 days, but the weather wasn’t the greatest factor. The property is beautiful and well maintained. In nice weather, I could see hot dogs or s’mores over the fire pit, or steaks on the grill. It was very quiet and although we had neighbors, with the curtains and the distance to other cabins, I felt there was privacy. I have seen other reviews complaining about that, but did not find that to be an issue. I wanted a breakfast picture, but my husband always ate some before I woke up, and untouched food pics are the best. My favorite was French toast with cinnamon apples and sausage links. This is not a Waldorf Astoria and I didn’t go in thinking it was. It is a fairly priced cabin getaway that allowed us to not drive anywhere for 3 days, with the kitchen. DoorDash even delivers there, we got sandwiches from Macado’s on Sunday which were also good. We definitely plan to return.

My husband and I have visited twice in the past 2 1/2 months and are looking forward to our next chance to return already even though we just came home less than a week ago. It's a very relaxing, peaceful place with a cozy feel. The staff are all amazing, emails are answered promptly, any needs are met quickly, breakfast is excellent, and the cabins are clean and well supplied.
