We love coming here and hiking around. The trails are well marked, but be sure to have a map just in case. The main trail at one point passes a lean-to and crosses a stream. In the stream there are some cool rocks and if you are interested in rocks or fossils, take a look. Some people leave interesting ones on the picnic table near the lean-to. Be sure to watch your step, as the stream is hoke to little critters that can be hard to see, and we don't want to be disrupting them too much. Past that point in the trail you will eventually go through a couple forest shifts from mostly pine trees, to lush warm green trees. If you keep your voice down you can hear an occasional raven or see some deer or other animals on the trail.

Great place for winter fun. Cross country skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides, sledding hill, snowshoe trails, rental shop, and a beautiful pavilion. Bring a lunch and enjoy the day.

Went for a sleigh ride in February. It was cold but beautiful. I’ve also been cross country skiing here in the past, they do ski rentals. It’s also a great place for mountain biking. The forest here is man made which is interesting and the lodge has lots of historic pictures of the park.

I have to give a five star rating because it is such a gorgeous place, with a nice facility, horse riding, carriage rides, and the best trails for cross country skiing in the area. However, be warned that they are VERY strict about times, …

It has a gate . So if you're hiking you could get locked in .. but if they see a car in the lot .. they may keep it open .
Yes I would call for a schedule when they do the rides
There is no overnight access, but check green lakes state park
Yes there are. I believe you have to sign up with them not sure if you can bring your own
You're best off calling for size and availability. Most years it's not a problem. Covid may interfere. Busy days may limit sizes.
I would call ahead for availability ..
I believe that you have to ride the rentals
Not sure good ?
Follow the hill up to the gate and turn left follow that up till you get to the lodge.
Yes, a 3 dollars per person fee, they accept credit cards. A yearly member fee of 25 dollars gets you in for free any time .
Did not see anything for that. It was hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
They have horse back riding, call for details
Looks like hiking boots! Thanks Ed.
Christmas day is the only day the park is closed. The wagon rides typically start mid December and run until mid March (weather permitting). Im not sure of food service, the room is typically rented on Thanksgiving
