Ok, I just happened to look at this facilitie's reviews and was so surprised when I skimmed through them that I had to leave my own review, whilst not even being a veteran. I am just wanting to be added to the list of people with angry voices and feelings, to be put on the next petition to treat our military members like they are protecting our lives instead of charity cases.

If I could leave less than one star I would. Same bs as every other deers office. I can make an appointment six weeks away, but can't do a walk in ever unless I am stationed there. New dependent, who cares! Short window before they leave for school, get bent! But please be sure to thank me for my service as I get turned around at the gate, that makes it all better. Also, be sure to not put up info on the deers website and bury all the important info like not being able to walk in and wait somewhere obscure on the unit website. thanks for nothing

Very disappointed in the customer service at the Visitor Center. It's the top of the morning. My family and I drove an hour to get to the unit only to discover they are no longer accepting walk-ins from the public. What made matters worse was the woman at the front desk yelled at and berated me for not reading the website correctly. They handed me a paper specifying that walk-ins were only for Southcom employees; however, the website did not clearly state that. She was very demeaning and insulted my intelligence by stating "people suddenly forget what they read when they get to the office." She has no respect for soldiers and their families. Sad that she's the face of your establishment.

Yes but you need an appointment in order to be seen by DEERS
Did you get an answer yet?
You can contact other DEERS offices in the area. They may have other availabilities.
This isn't an official answer but, I have an ID that is 20 plus years-old with no chip and have not had any problems. As long as the ID is serviceable, it should be usable.
Yes but have to make a appt or go in during walk in hours which 8-9 i believe. Hope this help

Looking at the DEERS building (it's to the right of the children's playground): To the left, front, and far far right of the building is a lot of general parking mixed in with some reserved parking. Directly in front of the flags and center building is a lot of reserved parking so I usually avoid that area.
Yes
I recommend staying at the Holiday Inn in Doral, FL. Its very close to USSOUTHCOM.
Call the deers office and set an appointment. They have walkins but you have to be there before 8 A.M.
Monday thru Thursday (07:30 - 09:30)
