Quit dining close to the freeway and go south about 10 minutes!! This Mexican Restaurant is definitely better than most. The Chimichanga was the best my husband EVER had (and he has had many). It was chock full of beef, chicken, and shrimp! The flavor and tenderness of the meat was incredible!

I haven't been in Effingham in well over 18 years. We were passing through from a road trip and decided Mexican food sounded good. So we came across Puerto Vallarta restaurant. We definitely were not disappointed. All of the workers were very pleasant and personable. The food was excellent and the portions were big. The atmosphere is very laid back. The prices are reasonable and the service was great. We definitely recommend this restaurant. So if you find yourself driving through Effingham, IL. and your feeling a bit hungry stop in at Puerto Vallarta restaurant you will not be disappointed. As always, please be safe in your travels.
