We stayed here for 5 days during the Apple Jack Festival and it was great. The staff was friendly, and everything was very clean. The walking paths are very well maintained and it's a pretty convenient walk over to the Arbor Day Farm too. Our only criticism was that we didn't like the coffee maker/coffee provided in the room but that's a small price to pay for amazing views.

Staff were all very accommodating, pleasant and helpful from the checkin desk (Grayson, Layla) to Timbers Restaurant) (Mellanie!) and others whose names I missed. We were walk-ins at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon and received a warm welcome and a reasonably priced room. Yes, the room was small but charming. Would have liked a wall-switch bathroom fan for circulation plus a bar of soap for the shower. Plenty of fluffy towels. Comfy beds. A microwave in room would be nice. Dinner at the Timbers was delicious and our server Mellanie was efficient, friendly, responsive to our requests and checked back often. She obviously took your training to heart or is just a natural. Or both. Kudos! The grounds and trails are beautifully maintained. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend Lied Lodge to others.

It seems the management is facing the same labor supply shortage that the nation as a whole is but to a slightly greater extent. Staff was accommodating to allow the use of the pool while we waited for a room. Main pool is of moderate temperature for children.

There is outdoor dining available from the main dining room. It is on a beautiful patio overlooking the hazelnut field and Morton Lodge, J. Sterling Morton's mansion. Excellent food and service in a beautiful, world-class setting.
Did you call and talk to the manager? I would start there. That is hard to believe and very disappointing if they did not return it.

There isn't an official lilac festival but there are somewhere near 300 variety of them planted on arbor lodge grounds. Then tour the 52 room arbor lodge. Then check out the other historic sites to enjoy. Orchards, 3 golf courses, tree adventure up in the trees. Children dress ups and wine tasting and the next festival is apple jack in September!. Don't pass this fantastic city.

Anna, Pets are not allowed inside the buildings or behind the Tree Adventure. But it’s possible a pet could be okay for an outdoor event. It would be best to call our wedding manager to find out. 402-873-8705. Thanks!
Travel sites like Kayak and many others have some discounts available and even Groupon has had special deals come and go so don't forget to try those too. You may not have to wait for the lodge itself to offer something.
