Wayyyyy to over price!!! I work for a medium to large size companies who offers a program helping there employees who want to stay healthy. After looking at my PrekSpot acct. The YMCA does not show up under the available sites to use. This got me thinking… and I started looking into the idea of why the YMCA address closest to me shows up as a choice for a workout location? When you go to pick the location it does not show up??? The YMCA is always marketed it as a family friendly place to stay healthy with a reasonable price point. I would join without my PerStop account. However, the buy in option is acceptable, the inflated monthly rate is not!

My only complaint about the Poole Family YMCA is that the dedicated gym/equipment area is quite small. The equipment is pretty nice. The pulley assisted barbell (I believe that is what it’s called) is my favorite piece of equipment. Beware though if you’re a bigger guy/gal the treadmill will shake quite a lot when you try running on it. Also adult guests are $20 unless you are from a city that is beyond their “region” (I’m assuming the triangle area). Otherwise the facilities are super nice along with the staff and instructors. The best part about this ymca I think (ironically enough) is the pool. It has a really nice slide and is good to swim laps in. There’s a sauna in the locker room which is also really nice. The lockers have a built in pad lock which is super convenient. I also like their variety of classes. The gym is the most lacking part of this location so I’ll likely work out at Kraft when I can but otherwise the location is convenient.
