Positive: The close proximity to highway 40, the continental breakfast, easy check in process, nice hotel design, shame it¿s already run down. Quiet at night. Negative: New hotel but already rundown and cheaply built. Hallway floors were caving in, elevator buttons worn couldn¿t see numbers, bed was hard, no bar soap given, trash wasn¿t emptied from prior stay, shower head was turned out and sprayed with everywhere

Positive: The staff were nice. Negative: There were multiple issues that exceed the character limit given. In short, wrong charges, couldn't locate reservation, no blankets for pullout, and terrible breakfast. Will NOT stay at again.

The Geek Next Door

Avoid if you can. This place was probably nice 15 years ago. The pool is closed. The hotel has a funny smell. The water doesn’t drain from the tub, so enjoy other people’s funk while you try to shower as their funk swims around your feet. The staff were great even if none of our complaints were dealt with. To top it off, on Sunday, we came down at 9:15am to a fully EMPTY breakfast area. The guy responsible for breakfast that day had closed up shop by 9am and didn’t care. The wonderful blonde woman that ran the breakfast area normally would never have done that. I couldn’t recommend anyone stay here unless they absolutely need the suite. Go somewhere else. The hotel staff use the sad little area where they sell you overpriced microwave dinners and drinks as their personal free grocery store. They spend more time sitting at the tables on the hotel lobby eating and watching TV than they do taking care of the place. We had to get out our Meyer’s cleaning and real paper towels to clean the enormous amounts of dust and smell from our room. We will NEVER come back to this hotel again. There are far better places to stay around Jackson than this. The elevators are nasty. Lights were missing everywhere. The whole place was pretty much disgusting. Avoid. Most of the staff is worthless. The only decent ones are the lady that does the breakfast most of the time and the lady that came by to clean our room. The maintenance people and the front desk people are worthless. Stay somewhere else. This feels like a fake Marriott hotel. It really sucks. Don’t believe the positive reviews. They are likely fake or just high when they wrote them.

Do not waste your time! We booked months ago in preparation for our daughter's wedding...today was check in day or so we thought. I arrive and am informed that they "unfortunately had a last minute large party booking" therefore they transferred our reservation to another hotel within their chain. We received NO PRIOR communication to the fact. I have driven over 8 hours to be here, at this point I was roughly an hour before needing to dress and drive to rehearsal when I try to check in. I also have a pet, hence my booking where my pet is welcome. I get to the hotel arranged for us to stay and am told they do not allow pets. I am also informed that they only have us down for 1 night and check out is at 11am. Our wedding isn't until 5pm that's why we booked 2 nights. So we got canceled, moved to a lesser quality hotel ( went from 4.1 star to a 3.2 star and it shows with food bags dropped out in the way) further out and now have nowhere to dress and prepare for the wedding. Thanks for nothing, also the other hotel is disgusting. Rooms not clean, gel and other suspicious stains on furniture, garbage left in the hallway in food bags not garbage bags and drugs being used in others rooms that smell so pungent you can smell it throughout the whole floor. Very disappointed and will be sure to share my experience to warn others before booking.
