I’ve been going to Porters Neck Veterinary office for years and I have always been pleased. Every doctor my dog has ever seen, I’ve felt that they genuinely care for his well being and take the whole picture into account. Once, when I took him to have his teeth looked at and possibly get them cleaned, they were honest and said with him being a senior that might be something I should consider holding off on, rather than pressuring or guilting me into the expensive procedure. Then today I was a walk-in patient, due to my dog having blood in his urine. They saw me with a very little wait time, and Dr Matt Resnick was so patient and kind. He sat on the floor with me and my dog to talk about the quality of life for dogs and completely eased my mind! My dog has started to decline rapidly with degenerative myelopathy this year and I never wanted to be that person to just put a dog down, because it was challenging. I had no idea how to decide when it was time. He gave me the confidence to make an informed decision about knowing when it’s his time. He never made me feel guilty if I chose one way or the other, just gave me the facts and compassion for me to choose. I believe when it is time, as difficult as it will be, the staff there will make it as easy and comforting as possible. I would recommend this vet to anyone looking for quality care for their animals.

I've been a customer of this business for a few years, unfortunately I will not be returning to this business. I received a phone call from Nicole a short time ago, she was unprofessional and down right rude her lack of customer service is definitely the reason I am not returning. Nicole talked over me consistently and had to make a point of proving that she was was right. She was confrontational and aggressive. The vets and other staff have always been professional and patient, but Nicole left me an unpleasant impression so much so that I will not return nor will I recommend this business. Nicole needs customer service training or a different job that doesn't involve working with the people. Nicole is a hindrance to this business.

We don't do anything with insurance except provide them with records. Pet insurance is different than human insurance. They pay and then insurance reimburses them if it's covered

I have been going there for more than 10 years. They do a a great job. I have never felt like I was being overcharged!
