Had appt at 8:30 was told be there at 8. Woke my 1 year old daughter at 7am so we could be ready and get there and NO ONE WAS THERE! Waited half an hour still no one was there. Place looks like a healingg station for crackheads. Not recommend by far

This place is a JOKE, appt at 2 pm , was late being seen then waited in room for 30 to 35 minutes in severe pain then nurse practitioner came in room , I knew more about medicine than her, she keep leaving room coming back to ask questions the after 2 hours in room she came in and said giving you ibuprofen to take then wanted me to get sonogram in pain I was in then after her asking nurse questions she finally decided to give a small shot , which didnot help, sent me home with 30 ibuprofen to take and they are like drinking a Pepsi, no help at all still in pain, seeing dr tomorow. I will never go back to this place .

Doctors & staff are kind and courteous. I've been going to Goshen Medical Center, Ash Street (I specify Ash Street because there are 2 branches of Goshen in Goldsboro) for quite a few years (at least 6 or 7) and I have never left upset or disappointed. That being said, there are a few minor issues that are a bit frustrating.... 1. The wait time can be a bit long sometimes (although these days that seems to be an industry-wide problem.) 2. There is a steadfast rule that requires each patient to bring in ALL their medications in their original bottles to EVERY visit. I can understand requiring this ONCE, like on your very first visit (I'm certain you have to list all your meds on any standard intake form for a doctors' office anyway)--on one of my visits, I took in ALL my bottles and I made a VERY detailed list of my meds including the dosage and even when exactly I took each one throughout the day; the doctor photocopied this list and put it in my file...one would think that would be sufficient--But bringing EVERY bottle in with ALL the pills in the bottles for EVERY appointment is just a ridiculous requirement, not to mention a good way to lose valuable medications! Can you imagine having to tell your doctor that someone stole your car(or broke into it and stole your meds?) Do you really think ANY doctor would believe that? What if one of your meds is a controlled drug, like Vicodin or Percocet? Is the doctor that prescribed & required you to load up your entire supply of Oxycontin into your car gonna whip out his pad and just write another script for you when you inform him that someone busted out your window & took ALL of your meds? I think NOT! (and NOT bringing them in each time is a deal-breaker: they will NOT see you and make you reschedule the appointment if you don't!) 3. For most medications, Goshen sends in the prescription electronically. This is for the convenience of the patient & the doctor. But in practice, it can be an issue. On several occasions, I've arrived at my pharmacy immediately following my doctor's appointment only to discover that the pharmacy hasn't received the "E-script" yet. This is VERY frustrating, because now the responsibility falls on you to figure out what is going on; you end up calling between the doctor's office and the pharmacy in order to track down a prescription that has NO paper trail whatsoever! At least with a paper prescription, you simply hand it over to the pharmacist, and there's no chance of it becoming lost in the ether!
