We gave notice almost 5 months before arriving that we would need a house on base. Upon arrival we were told nothing is available or will be available anytime soon. Not even an estimate on how long it would take so we could figure out a temporary solution. We were advised to look out in town for a place. We are a family of 5 with orders to Cherry Point and we can not get a house on base because your renting them out to Retirees and civilians. And at this time there is nothing available to rent that is adequate in size for my family and around BAH rates. It is disheartening that this is how military members are being left homeless, stressed out about how to take care of their families.

Courtney really did an amazing job securing housing for my family on a very tight schedule, as for now i will say 5 star has been achieved, i understand common problems that can arise and the fact it is a costal community but i dealt with the same things in florida so i will not be super suprised. Hopefully the rest of my experience will be just as good but as for right now i cannot see why it wont be.
