Carolyna Sun and Moon/East and West were absolutely filthy when we checked into the units. Also the mildew/mold smell was unbearable. No light bulbs in any of the downstairs lamps, kitchen sink light didn't work, and no batteries in the remotes! Pillows flat/thin as paper. Very disappointing.

Nothing wrong with home, and beach is beautiful. ALL issues are Sun-Surf. Arrived Saturday (2 cars) to tri-plex. Greeted by permanent tenant who advised parking lot paving Wednesday, and I couldn't have cars on lot. Called Sun-Surf who was oblivious to this, and blamed property owner, and told me how bad both neighbors were towards renters. Enjoyed Sunday aware of above. Monday went to realty, more bashing of neighbors and blaming property owner but no resolution. Tuesday was same, looking for plan with multiple calls. Wednesday advised that paving was moved to Thursday, and cars needed out by 8 am. Later that day advised I could move 1 car to police station, park other in easement, but needed to go to police dept and speak and provide vehicle info. Thursday, mid afternoon, still no paving, so I CALL Sun Surf, and they advise it was moved to Friday, but we already knew that (bad neighbor told us). More negatives towards him, more bashing owner, now I am forced to decide between leaving a day early, or loading my cars at edge of road, after having LEFT car literally on side of road for 24 hours plus. Sun Surf solution 50% discount, despite I having all but ONE day dealing with this. BUT, I attempted to book different spot, obviously to avoid the bad neighbors, but figured there'd be some discount applied based on THIS. I was advised they couldn't. Which we know better. SHAME on me for not demanding 100% refund, as blaming owner and neighbors is inexcusable to ME, that's Sun Surf's job to manage it, but God KNOWS what'd have happened if I didn't talk to neighbors. ANY info about neighbors should have been shared BEFORE taking my money, but 100% unprofessional. MY mistake was assuming Sun Surf would own it and address in return rental, and that 50% didn't include rental of chairs and umbrella. Just horrible, even worse to blame others when I only rented from Sun Surf, should have NEVER had to deal with 1 discussion with residents, nor know of their apparently constant complaints about renters.
