Avoid renting Big Kahuna. Our vacation was tainted by the grimest, most poorly maintained beach rental we have had in 25 years. I would be ashamed to rent my property out in that condition, and would never hire Bluewater Vacation Rentals to manage my rental. We were in contact with housekeeping and maintenance throughout our stay, (who took care of the worst problems) and with Guest Relations during and after our stay. This property should have been shut down to rentals and deep cleaned and maintained before renting out. It is not the guest's job to manage problems the property manager should handle, and it is not appropriate for the guest to have to seek resolution for a laundry list of cleaning and maintenance issues during what is supposed to be their vacation. Instead of coming home from vacation rested and relaxed, I had to pursue Guest relations for over a week to try to get a partial refund. They refused to put me in touch directly with the property manager. The "resolution" offered by the owner and the rental company was insulting. ($130 for cleaning issues). I will never deal with this company again. They have showed their stripes and no response to this review offering additional attention to this case would be sufficient. I hope this information helps others to avoid the same experience.

Dock Holiday………The house was a perfect size for us and the dogs. The decks and furniture were large and we could see the ocean. The fenced in yard was the icing on the cake for our dogs and it was secure and large. They loved it! Such a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping and more.

After giving Bluewater numerous chances it is safe to say we won’t be renting one of their properties next year. After calling this morning to ensure our property had linen service I was reassured that it did, including bath towels & sheets. Upon arrival at Lorlei West, family members discovered a linen bag outside of our rental. Later this evening we discovered the bag is full of the previous renters dirty linens instead of clean items for our stay. After calling, the person I spoke with after hours told me that they doubted that I would receive any linens this evening. At this point I question if our rental was even properly cleaned and prepared for our stay considering the issue with the linens. It is now 12:42am - I have offered to go anywhere and meet someone to pick up sheets & towels. After 3 calls & “tickets” put in I can’t even get someone to call me back. I don’t think that clean linens is an unreasonable request given the cost of these rentals. This was our third stay with Bluewater and with every stay there has been an issue. I am repeatedly disappointed in their lack of customer service. It is very clear that they far more concerned with making money than the customer experience. In 2018 one of their properties lost power completely. We were told that someone had “cut” a line. Workers were in and out of the house the entire night. When it was mentioned to Bluewater they did not offer anything for our evening spent in the dark with no air conditioning. In 2019 my father-in-law rented a house for a week. While packing up to leave and double checking the space I discovered a used tampon under our bed that we had slept in all week. Disgusted to say the least. Again given the price I don’t think cleanliness is too much to ask for. The third time was not a charm and we will not be back.
