Go to Social Services at 100 Gold St and apply.
They do help with rent. Prepare for red tape. They do not however, help with deposits of any kind. Be prepared to answer questions regarding wages, and what/where you spend your money. Provide them with as much documentation as possible, rent lease/receipts, light bill/receipts, a budget, etc. Leave no doors open they may be able to close. Remain positive keep your cool, this can be a very tedious process. They do not cater to crisis. Their main focus is preventing crisis.
