My Two Cents

May 23, 2022

Located in the beautiful town of Fortuna, with its hard working members the CCC makes the state and community proud! Their stewardship of nature is a labor of love. Great group young women and men whose work ethic makes them stand apart. I am most impressed.

I went here years ago fresh out of the military and it was an experience that I will never forget.

In my 40s now. This place gave me life experience, I could never trade for anything. A good decision youngsters

I was there back in 93 or 94 I want to know how can we have a reunion

Steve Giacolini | Sep 21, 2018

You can try to contact any former corpsmembers or staff from that time and set a time and place to meet, there isn't a formal way to hold a reunion within the program

Since this is a residential center, are you required to live there?

Sam L | Sep 21, 2018
Marylee Ford | Sep 21, 2019

Nope. As long as you can get there on time, they don't mind. I had friends who lived in Mckinnleyville and drove down to Fortuna every day. However, unless you work in the kitchen, there are spikes. You will have to camp out in the middle of nowhere for 8 days.
