I really hate to say this, but their chicken anything... Burrito, taco, nachos, etc... Is better than anywhere else in Humboldt. That says something since I have been a VERY BIG supporter of another Mexican restaurant since I moved to Humboldt in 2012. Their chicken is so flavorful, it's insane. However, be prepared to wait longer than they say. We have had multiple deliveries 20-40+ minutes late. Tonight, we are at 45 minutes late and counting.

Ya gotta try the burria tacos man! I'd never had a delicious deep fried taco that you dip in delicious broth. Gets real messy but so good. Get some!

Esmeralda's never disappoints. I really appreciate the vegetarian options and their willingness to accommodate them. My teens love their food, especially the birria tacos and Mexican pizza.

Awesome food friendly people never had a bad experience
They have a little of everything, but the food is not very good, and the staff is very rude. We were accused of trying to get a free meal out of them when we complained about the food being cold when brought to us. You would do better to find a different Mexican restaurant.
